Summary

The job is for a Data Analyst/Engineer at Wellth, a fast-growing digital health company backed by leading investors. The role involves performing data analysis, developing visualizations, partnering with customer data teams, creating transformations from customer formats to standard Wellth format, and assisting with internal analyses. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in healthcare products and data, proficiency in SQL, Python, and shell scripts, and knowledge of Redshift, BigQuery, and other data warehouse infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with healthcare products and data, having directly worked with claims data, patient data, and other health-related data sets
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a healthcare data analyst or healthcare data engineer
  • Proficiency in writing clean and maintainable SQL, Python, and shell scripts for automation, analysis, and ETL using industry best practices
  • Proficiency in executing and maintaining dbt tools
  • Proficiency in analyzing and using database schemas and data dictionaries
  • Knowledge of Redshift, BigQuery, and other data warehouse infrastructure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in customer, internal, and leadership contexts
  • High comfort level in operating with autonomy, delivering independently and in a team environment
  • Understanding of business processes, ROI, cost analyses, and financial modeling

Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis to propose target patient cohorts
  • Develop visualizations that persuade potential customers of Wellth program ROI
  • Partner with customer data teams to ensure successful data ingestion and accurate ROI analyses
  • Create and validate transformations from customer formats to standard Wellth format
  • Perform internal analyses to assist product and operations teams
  • Assist with Quarterly Business Review report generation
  • Work closely with the internal data analysis and engineering team on recommendations for improving infrastructure, pipelines, security, and operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Jupyter, Spark, and other data research technologies
  • Experience working with Apache Airflow, Glue, Fivetran, and other data orchestration technologies
  • Experience working with Great Expectations, Metaplane, and other data quality technologies
  • Deep knowledge of data security to protect highly confidential and sensitive data, especially in the healthcare industry
