Join Vytalize Health as the Director, Data Science and Advanced Analytics - Value-Based Care and lead a team of analysts and BI developers. You will lead the strategic use of BI to enable Vytalize Health to guide the business in performance management of value-based care programs. Key focuses include coordinating with stakeholders to develop AI/ML solutions, enhancing BI capabilities, and managing a reporting solutions portfolio. You will foster cross-functional relationships to ensure data integrity and alignment with company priorities. This is a high-impact role in a rapidly growing organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics and business intelligence, ideally with a focus on value-based care
  • Demonstrated expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI. Hands on experience building AI/ML solutions in Python including NLP engines, neural networks and using statistics to assess their efficacy and engineering features that improve performance
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring BI teams, with a track record of fostering team growth and development
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and advanced analytics techniques using Python or R
  • Experience with data integration from sources like EMRs, HIEs, ADT feeds, and familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Strong knowledge of process automation techniques to streamline BI tasks and data accessibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and adoption of advanced analytics and automation, utilizing modern AI techniques and data science
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership to the BI team, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and actionable BI solutions
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Applications, and other departments to integrate and optimize healthcare data sources and scale data science solutions
  • Create an Analytics Center of Excellence to standardize processes, drive data quality, and build scalable analytics assets
  • Mentor team members, fostering a supportive and development-oriented culture to help them grow both technically and professionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Proficient in BI development and data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and the healthcare industry, particularly value-based care models
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment
  • Experience using work management solutions like Jira
