Summary

The job is for an Interconnection Manager at Intersect Power, a clean energy company. Requirements

• Highly organized with effective project management skills
• Basic understanding and working knowledge of LMPs
• Familiarity with tools such as PSLF, PSSE, PSCAD etc

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's generator interconnection process and strategy in target markets (ERCOT and CAISO)
• Act as the company's primary interface with ISOs, RTOs, and utilities on all interconnection initiatives in target markets, building key relationships to ensure project success
• Attend and monitor transmission expansion planning meetings, providing regular updates to internal teams on reforms and new projects relevant to the company’s portfolio
• Support the Origination, Development, Engineering, Construction, and Project Finance teams in strategic business development, evaluating potential interconnection options, and executing projects
• Conduct or collaborate with technical teams on power flow studies, including preparing interconnection requests and generator equivalent models necessary for the interconnection study process
• Oversee the submission of interconnection requests and manage the interconnection process from early-stage development to COD for utility-scale renewable energy projects
• Develop systems to track and communicate project status and options internally for various phases of the interconnection process
• Support LMP analysis with generation and transmission assumptions and review results
