Join Spring Health as an HR Compliance Specialist and contribute to our mission of eliminating barriers to mental healthcare. This full-time, remote position involves a balance of compliance initiatives and employee support. You will maintain and update global people policies, lead compliance projects, and provide Tier 1 and 2 support to employees. Success in this role is measured by timely employee support, policy updates, project completion, and process improvements. The position requires 2+ years of HR experience, compliance knowledge, and strong communication skills. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HR, compliance, or a related function
- Prior experience administering reasonable accommodations
- Prior experience developing and maintaining an employee handbook
- Prior experience in an employee or customer service role
- Strong understanding of HR policies and programs, with some knowledge of employment law and workplace compliance standards
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines and track compliance deliverables
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism
- A problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Strong communication and customer service skills — you're able to explain policies clearly and empathetically to a wide range of employees
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a portfolio of global and regional people policies; partner with Legal, People Business Partners, and stakeholders to update and publish changes regularly
- Support and lead compliance-focused projects, such as annual audits, policy rollouts, and systems/process improvements
- Coordinate and manage the conflict of interest disclosure and review process
- Partner with stakeholders to operationalize and track the reasonable accommodations and outside employment request processes
- Maintain documentation and controls related to employment law and regulatory obligations, ensuring alignment with internal standards and external requirements
- Deliver responsive, accurate Tier 1 and 2 support to employees via our HR service system, answering questions about policies, programs, and processes
- Process HR transactions, including employee status changes and data updates in Paylocity
- Escalate more complex issues to appropriate team members while ensuring the employee experience remains smooth and informed
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve self-service content, reduce case volume, and streamline how we work
