Human Computer Interaction Researcher

Summary

Join our Experience Team as a Human Computer Interaction Research Intern to collaborate across Zoox in defining and championing the “Human Experience”. You will work closely with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to identify research needs and develop research strategies. The ideal candidate is a passionate creative thinker who is eager to learn and solve challenging problems.

Requirements

• Masters and/or Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Robot Interaction(HRI) or Human Factors(HF) Research
• Experience applying human-centered design and design thinking principles
• Experience with a wide variety of design research methodologies including but not limited to: field observation, interviews, participatory design, interaction analysis and analogous research
• Experience creating user profiles and persona (strategic)
• Passion for exploring emerging technologies and making a positive impact on customers’ lives through your work

Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to identify research needs and develop research strategies
• Design, plan and execute research activities including but not limited to: field studies, interviews, participatory design, interaction analysis and analogous research
• Communicate research findings in a clear and meaningful manner to key stakeholders
• Synthesize research insights and actionable recommendations to inform product decisions
