Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Plum, a smart saving and investing app, as a Product Designer in our expanding London team! Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll be a vital part of developing intuitive, user-centered financial products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with user needs and business objectives. You will be responsible for the design output of your squad, creating intuitive flows and interaction patterns. This role requires proven experience in product design, proficiency in Figma, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design solutions
• Proficiency in design and prototyping in Figma
• Experience with user research methods and the ability to collaborate with researchers to translate insights into actionable designs
• A solid understanding of the end-to-end product design work, including but not limited to, user experience design, visual design, and accessibility principles
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Understand User Needs: The ability to inspire creative thinking by collaborating with researchers to identify unmet needs
• Frame Challenges: The ability to pinpoint key driving questions that motivate you and your team to seek innovative AI-driven solutions
• Explore Problems: The ability to formulate hypotheses and employ both divergent and convergent thinking to analyse and synthesise various possibilities
• Collaborate and Innovate: The ability to partner with your AI squad and your design teams to explore and implement cutting-edge applications of conversational AI
• Design Conversational Experiences: The ability to create intuitive flows and interaction patterns, ensuring they are empathetic, engaging, and aligned with Plum’s brand
• Make Possibilities Tangible: The ability to "build to think," creating conversational prototypes to experiment with and test your hypotheses
• Reflect and Learn: The ability to gather feedback from experiments to learn and refine conversational experiences continuously
• Create Stories: The ability to craft narratives that clearly explain design decisions and facilitate collaboration with the team and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech or a related industry is a plus but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred
