Requirements

  • Valid drivers License
  • Work requires an education background normally equivalent to high school and a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification
  • Work requires practical knowledge of the application of electrical techniques and methods normally acquired through 5 years of electrical experience
  • Knowledge of applicable industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade
  • Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills
  • Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Able to work individually and as a team member
  • Able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers

Responsibilities

  • Understanding all safety procedures of work place
  • Removing and installing air quality systems
  • Meeting compliance requirement documentation
  • Testing for leaks using various testing tools
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical components of HVAC equipment
  • Reviewing historical repair records to create an effective inspection schedule
  • Communicating with clients
  • Inspecting plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation while adhering to environmentally friendly guidelines
  • The ability to follow instructions and analyze systems
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to respond to clients complaints, questions and needs
  • Ability to interpret technical data such as temperature and pressure
  • Ability to operate and repair various HVAC equipment
  • Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites
  • Maintain site equipment to the highest possible condition
  • Liaise with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner to keep up to all maintenance issues and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all site equipment is in good repair
  • Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
  • Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems on site
  • Complying with all of company safety policies & procedures
  • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment at all times during work hours
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein
