Summary

Broadvoice is seeking a remote Information Security Officer with at least 7 years of experience in managing a Security Operations team or running security solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the deployment and maintenance of security tools, conduct gap analysis, assist in vulnerability management, ensure compliance, act as data protection officer, plan and coordinate new security solutions, manage security technologies, generate reports, and have strong analytical skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science or related fields
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing a Security Operations team or running security solutions in network/security engineering or security operations
  • Hands-on experience (7+ years) implementing IT security controls including firewalls, SIEM platforms, Network Access Control (NAC), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), DLP, IPS/IDS, encryption, authentication, tokenization, XDR/EDR tools, and desktop virtualization security (e.g., CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Workspace One; Palo Alto Firewall Suite, Microsoft Defender)
  • Profound knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, DLP, and SIEM systems
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze security data and trends, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Great interpersonal skills and taste for teamwork
  • Good analytical ability, organization, planning, and time management
  • Knowledge of end-user service principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, clearly and accurately
  • Good communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical personnel

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of security tools to support cyber threat detection, incident response, and attack surface reduction efforts
  • Conduct a gap analysis to prioritize and develop security controls and tools
  • Assist in vulnerability management and interfacing with the different technical teams when necessary
  • Ensure ownership of all security certifications and adherence to security compliance standards
  • Educate the company and employees on important compliance requirements
  • Train staff in compliant data processing and storage
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance and address any potential issues proactively
  • Act as an organization’s data protection and privacy officer
  • Serve as the point of contact between the company and supervisory authorities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the operation of new security solutions to manage evolving threat landscapes
  • Provide guidance and assistance to ensure timely completion of global security initiatives
  • Manage security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Supervise and manage cloud security solutions
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for the security operations team and present findings to senior leadership
