Summary

Requirements

  • Python language knowledge
  • Django, Django Rest Framework, any other Python based framework (Flask, Quant, FastAPI etc), be familiar with PostgreSQL, Redis, Dramatiq/RQ task processing
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters
  • Proficient in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Experience with server infrastructure technologies (e.g., Docker, VMs, Containers, Serverless)
  • Solid background in backend API development, preferably with experience in RESTful services
  • Familiarity with network protocols and concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, Routing, Load Balancing)
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools for infrastructure and APIs
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management and Deployment: Implement, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant server infrastructure on Kubernetes
  • Backend API Development: Work closely with the software engineering team to design, develop, and maintain APIs
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the infrastructure setup, API endpoints, deployment processes, and best practices
  • System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions for system performance and health. Analyze system metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize the infrastructure and backend services for peak performance
  • Security: Ensure that all aspects of the server infrastructure and APIs adhere to industry-standard security practices using OWASP/NIST. Regularly conduct security assessments and participate in security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of infrastructure and backend services
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide guidance on infrastructure best practices. Participate in the architectural design of new features with a focus on backend integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Kubernetes, Cloud Computing Platforms (AWS) and Terraform
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (preferably GitLab CI)
