Infrastructure Operations Specialist

Summary

The job is for an Infrastructure Operations Specialist at Ergonia, a crypto asset trading firm focusing on DeFi markets. The role involves ensuring continuous operation of production server applications, managing infrastructure automation, and overseeing build and release cycles for trading applications.

Requirements

• Financial services background is key
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS strongly preferred )
• Good knowledge of Linux systems administration
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
• Familiarity with build and release processes, preferably in a trading environment
• Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
• Ability to script in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation of production server applications
• Perform server administration tasks and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Manage and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems such as Splunk Telegraph/Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty
• Manage our non-production trading data, services, and servers
• Oversee and optimize build and release cycles for our trading applications
• Understand and manage our networking environment to optimize performance
• Continuously improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency
• Infrastructure automation via tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, etc

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-frequency trading or financial services industry
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience running any blockchain node(s)
• Understanding of security best practices in infrastructure management
• Experience with Github Actions
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices, like CI/CD, service instrumentation, and multi-site software systems
