Summary

Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ experience in designing and developing formal workforce training programs using backwards curriculum design
  • A four-year degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, eLearning Development, Adult or Secondary Education, Educational Psychology, or other relevant educational degree
  • A minimum of 24 college credit hours in training design are required. This requirement may be substituted with a 40-hour certification in Training Design and Development
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and related frameworks
  • Demonstrated development of assessments, such as tests, rubrics, or checklists
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Intelligence training preferred
  • TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process to design courses, create new learning objectives and develop lesson plans
  • Incorporate instructional strategies that support testing and evaluation to use integrated scenarios assessments across multiple training programs
  • Assist with instructor preparation to sequence, schedule, and observe/evaluate delivery and/or data to provide feedback to leadership
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to develop training that is impactful and addresses the workforce performance needs
  • Operate appropriate Microsoft applications, Adobe applications, audio-visual equipment, curriculum development software, and curriculum delivery systems
  • Comply with the ITA Instructional Systems Design SOP and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation Board (FLETA) requirements in supporting and documenting each step of the Instructional Design process
