Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, law, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance policy form drafting, compliance, or regulatory filings, particularly in commercial P&C lines
  • Proficiency with SERFF, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and GSuite
  • Experience working in an Insurtech or regulatory compliance-focused role
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance products and industry trends
  • AINS, CPCU, or other insurance-related certifications
  • Strong knowledge of ISO forms, proprietary forms, and state-specific regulatory requirements
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret and apply insurance laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Ability to effectively handle objections and negotiate approvals with regulators
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain policy forms and endorsements for commercial P&C insurance products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and interpret insurance regulations, statutes, and bulletins to ensure filings meet all applicable jurisdictional requirements
  • Draft and revise policy language to meet business needs and align with regulatory standards
  • Submit filings to state insurance departments, manage regulatory objections, and ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with legal, and product teams to ensure the accuracy and clarity of policy language and filings
  • Support implementation as needed, providing compliance guidance and ensuring consistency with filed and approved forms
  • Maintain documentation of product manual and form language revisions to support audits and ensure compliance
