Summary

This role blends individual contributions with people leadership, requiring experience in P&C product coverage and regulatory knowledge. You will manage and develop a high-performing team, improve processes, maintain forms inventory, stay updated on regulatory changes, and handle state filings. Partner with various departments to create and revise forms, define business requirements, lead forms strategy for new products, conduct competitive research, support audits, and ensure forms align with Openly's customer experience and strategic goals. Requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) product coverage requirements and development, with at least 1 year of people leadership
  • Property and Casualty (P&C) regulatory experience and knowledge of state filing requirements
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to coverage language and form construction of P&C personal lines products
  • Proficient in conducting regulatory research
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of forms analysts, including setting direction, coaching, and aligning work to company goals
  • Improve processes, team structure, and tools to enhance the speed, quality, and compliance of forms development
  • Maintain the forms version inventory using a forms management system
  • Stay current on regulatory and industry changes in coverage and forms language; communicate relevant updates to internal teams
  • Prepare and submit form filings to state Departments of Insurance, ensuring compliance with requirements and managing approval communications
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Claims, Compliance, and Engineering to develop, revise, and implement forms that meet business needs and regulatory standards
  • Define forms business requirements, own associated testing and success criteria, and ensure readiness for launch
  • Lead forms strategy for new product development and enhancements, including research, roadmap ownership, and implementation
  • Conduct and operationalize competitive and regulatory research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Support internal audits and market conduct exams related to product forms and ensure documentation is thorough and accurate
  • Ensure forms support Openly’s customer experience and align with our strategic positioning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with forms management tools such as Mozart
  • Related insurance, legal and regulatory certifications and/or degrees
  • Experience with personal property products and personal lines auto
