Summary
Join Community Risk Advisors (CRA), a leading commercial real estate insurance agency, as a Commercial P&C Insurance Producer. Based remotely or in a hybrid model from Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, or other locations, you will generate new business by identifying prospects, developing relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions. You will assess client needs, design customized insurance programs, and present coverage options. Collaboration with account managers and underwriters is key to successful policy placement. You will maintain a prospect pipeline, cultivate client relationships, and meet sales goals. CRA offers a supportive environment and proven sales methods to ensure your success.
Requirements
- Valid Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified time)
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and client-focused attitude
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop new commercial P&C business opportunities through networking, marketing, referrals, and lead generation strategies
- Assess client needs and risks to design customized insurance programs covering commercial property, general liability, directors & officers, crime, umbrella, workers compensation, cyber liability and other lines
- Present and explain complex coverage options and pricing to prospective clients with clarity and professionalism
- Collaborate with account managers, underwriters, and carrier partners to obtain quotes and ensure successful placement of policies
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects and track activity using CRM tools
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster retention, referrals, and upselling opportunities
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance benchmarks
- Stay current on industry trends, underwriting guidelines, product developments, and regulatory changes
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in CRM and Google Office Suite; experience with AMS platforms (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore AMS360) is a plus
- Insurance Designation(s) (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CRM, ARM, CISR) is a plus
- 4 year college degree is a plus
