Requirements

• 8+ years of prior underwriting experience is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in data analysis, presentation, and interpretation
• Ability to explain data-driven recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of U.S. general insurance markets, regulatory environment, and industry trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong numerical reasoning and high attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for underwriting queries in the U.S., managing intake, triage, and accurate time estimates for resolution
• Underwrite risks within delegated authority and escalate as needed to leadership for approval
• Support the execution of policy changes, including pricing adjustments, endorsements, and administrative updates
• Provide technical underwriting support to internal stakeholders to help achieve financial targets
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of underwriting systems and processes by offering feedback and ideas for development
• Assist with underwriting-related training and knowledge-sharing across departments
• Handle administrative tasks related to residual value insurance products
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support corporate objectives and ensure efficient workflow
• Drive operational excellence through process documentation, optimization, and automation initiatives
