Requirements
- 8+ years of prior underwriting experience is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in data analysis, presentation, and interpretation
- Ability to explain data-driven recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of U.S. general insurance markets, regulatory environment, and industry trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong numerical reasoning and high attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for underwriting queries in the U.S., managing intake, triage, and accurate time estimates for resolution
- Underwrite risks within delegated authority and escalate as needed to leadership for approval
- Support the execution of policy changes, including pricing adjustments, endorsements, and administrative updates
- Provide technical underwriting support to internal stakeholders to help achieve financial targets
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of underwriting systems and processes by offering feedback and ideas for development
- Assist with underwriting-related training and knowledge-sharing across departments
- Handle administrative tasks related to residual value insurance products
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support corporate objectives and ensure efficient workflow
- Drive operational excellence through process documentation, optimization, and automation initiatives
