Requirements

  • Demonstrate accounting expertise: Leverage your knowledge of full-cycle accounting to manage AP, fixed assets, and prepaids with accuracy and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively: Explain policies, provide guidance, and collaborate confidently across teams
  • Be detail-oriented: Maintain meticulous records and identify opportunities to improve compliance and processes
  • Take initiative: Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset and proactively suggest optimizations
  • Adapt in a dynamic environment: Handle multiple tasks, adjust to new tools or processes, and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and 1-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Be comfortable managing accounts payable and have a strong interest in expanding into other accounting areas
  • Be confident working in a fast-paced, remote environment and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common goals
  • Be proactive and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Be curious and eager to grow, with aspirations to take on advanced responsibilities and progress into a senior accounting role

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end AP process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Maintain accurate records and oversee tracking of fixed assets & prepaid expenses to support financial reporting
  • Manage tools like Float and Navan, ensuring adherence to expense policies and receipt compliancy
  • Process vendor and creator payments efficiently and troubleshoot any issues to ensure smooth operations
  • Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist with financial statement preparation during month-end close
  • Support the transition of AP vendor functions and other process optimizations
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Revenue, to improve accounting operations
  • Assist with financial audits and tackle ad hoc accounting projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be pursuing or plan to pursue a professional designation (e.g., CPA)
  • Have experience with payroll processing and/or working in startups or fast-paced environments
