Intermediate Data Engineer

Summary

Omnipresent is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines using DBT and Snowflake. The role requires a strong understanding of SQL, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Python, understanding of data modeling, and experience with cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience with SQL and its application in data processing
• Familiarity with DBT and Snowflake
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines
• Implement and manage data transformation processes using DBT
• Work extensively with Snowflake for data warehousing solutions
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and reporting
• Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure data quality and integrity through regular monitoring and testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
• Utilize the data platform intensively for various operational use cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of writing clean, maintainable code and following coding patterns and best practices
• Knowledge of Python or another programming language
• Understanding of data modeling and database design
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
