Summary
Join Pepperstone's technology team in Cyprus as a Java Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of high-performance backend systems. Requirements
- Strong Java (Core, Multithreading, Concurrency, JVM tuning) experience in high-performance backend applications
- Expertise in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines
- Proactive mindset, exceptional communication, and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Passionate about tackling challenges, optimizing performance, and learning new technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems using Java
- Optimize application performance, ensuring low-latency and high-availability in mission-critical systems
- Collaborate with product teams and architects to design robust and scalable backend solutions
- Implement best practices in development and testing, integrating CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Enhance and optimize database performance and queries for efficient data processing
- Work in an Agile environment, participating in scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to code reviews, mentoring, and fostering a culture of technical excellence
