Middle General Test Engineer (Java)

Summary

Join ELEKS Quality Assurance Office as a Middle General Test Engineer (Java) in Poland or Croatia! Our client, a U.S.-based software company in the finance sector, develops a banking web application. You will implement and execute tests, use testing tools, participate in environment setup, and prepare test data. Collaborate with teams, review requirements, and contribute to documentation. Develop and maintain automation scripts, integrating them with CI. This role requires manual testing experience, test case writing, Jira/Zephyr experience, and at least 2 years of automation testing with Java. Upper-Intermediate English is needed.

Requirements

• Experience in manual testing of the products
• Experience in writing Test Cases and other Test Documentation
• Experience with Jira/Zephyr
• Experience in tight collaboration with Product Management and End user teams
• At least 2 years of commercial experience in working as a full-time automation test engineer with Java
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute tests at all planned levels, log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
• Use tests administration, monitoring, and management tools
• Participate in test environment setup
• Prepare and acquire test data
• Contribute to test documentation creation/validation/update process (test cases, test plan, etc.)
• Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications to convert them into quality control process artefacts
• Review test artefacts developed by others
• Communicate with other Team Members
• Report Test Progress to Stakeholders
• Develop, execute, refactor and optimize automation scripts
• Integrate automation framework and tests with CI
• Prepare manual test cases for automation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or Degree in Finance would be a plus
