Summary

Employment Hero is seeking experienced Senior/Intermediate Backend Software Engineers to join their Platform /DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer team. The engineers will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications using Ruby and TypeScript, analyzing systems for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality code. Requirements include over 6 years of software development experience, proficiency in Ruby or other OOP languages, strong skills in OOP, and a team player attitude.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in Software Development, with a focus on Server-side and RESTful API Development and integration
• Proficiency in Ruby programming language and Ruby frameworks such as Rails or Sinatra, OR expertise in other OOP languages such as Python, TypeScript, Golang, Java etc
• Strong skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multiple applications using Ruby and TypeScript
• Analyse current systems to find areas of improvement for security, reliability and performance
• Collaborate with product and architecture teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure high-quality code by conducting testing and code reviews, both for yourself and your colleagues
• Share your knowledge and mentor Junior Developers within your squad
