Summary

Join our Manufacturing Engineering team as a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support the design and testing of powertrain equipment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university
  • Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
  • Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines
  • 3D modeling (Catia, 3DX, Delmia), 2D modeling (AutoCAD) and simulations to validate equipment designs
  • Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, material handling, fluid dispensing, plasma treatment, vision systems, conveyor systems, laser cleaning/welding, soldering, CMM, and DC tools and press equipment

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development
  • Develop manufacturing process and equipment for Powertrain lines
  • Implement engineering solutions on equipment based on product design changes
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis on manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Work cross functionally to align stakeholders on equipment and process changes
  • Designing fixtures and equipment to support production requirements
