Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
  • Sufficient understanding of database technology such as Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and Memgraph
  • Strong debugging skills
  • The ability to interface with internal users, gather requirements, and work collaboratively with engineers on solutions
  • The ability to program in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go
  • Some understanding of security concepts, and the ability to work with security teams to achieve desired security controls
  • Some exposure to public and private clouds such as GCP, AWS, or VMware
  • Must be located in GMT or able to work GMT hours

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Kubernetes based environments within GCP
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues regarding container based applications and helm
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD processes using github actions
  • Collaborate with the security team to achieve and maintain necessary certifications such as SOC2
  • Assist the data team with maintaining their data tools and workflows
  • Create and maintain internal tools for the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security frameworks
  • Exposure to data engineering concepts such as entity resolution
