Investment Research Associate

Summary

Join Offchain Labs, a leader in blockchain technology, as an Investment Research Associate. This role focuses on providing crucial research, data analysis, and portfolio company tracking to support fund management and strategy. You will collaborate with portfolio companies, conduct market research within the Web3 ecosystem, maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities, and coordinate internal resources for investment decisions. You will also deliver performance data and create dashboards to enhance business decision-making. This position requires a proven track record in the blockchain space, strong technical skills, exceptional communication, and strategic thinking. Requirements

• Proven track record of acquiring and guiding successful projects or teams in the blockchain space, with a focus on innovation and research collaboration, or experience bringing crypto products to market
• Experience in protocol design and development, with a strong technical background in blockchain technologies
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends and ecosystem dynamics in the blockchain industry
• 2+ years of investment banking, private equity or management consulting experience is ideal

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with portfolio companies to determine key milestones for investment unlocks, and subsequently track and report on those milestones
• Prepare and present market research on various sectors of the Web3 ecosystem
• Help maintain a pipeline of opportunities
• Coordinate internal resources across research, product, partnerships, finance for investment decision making, and tracking
• Deliver real-time performance data and tailor dashboards that enhance business decision-making capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

B.A. in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or technical field is preferred
