Summary

Join Encora as a Senior iOS, React Native Developer in Costa Rica and work remotely. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS using Swift and React Native. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive software development experience, and +5 years of professional iOS development experience. Advanced proficiency in Swift and React Native (JavaScript) is essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills are also needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of professional experience in iOS development
• Proven experience leading iOS projects from concept to release in a senior or lead role
• Advanced proficiency in Swift
• React Native (JavaScript) is required

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications for iOS using Swift and React Native
• Target skill split: 70% iOS / 30% React Native
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, intuitive mobile experiences
• Drive the technical direction of mobile projects, making key decisions on libraries, patterns, and tooling
• Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and fostering knowledge sharing within the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Objective-C is preferred in addition to Swift
• Experience with SwiftUI is a nice-to-have
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership in technical discussions and mentoring
• Self-driven, organized, and highly capable of working independently
