Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and present assignments concisely and accurately
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently (maintaining accountability over the task at hand)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware and software issues
  • Document all incidents into ServiceNow (Ticketing System)
  • Configure and deploy Windows desktops, including assembly and disassembly
  • Plan, organize, and reconcile IT hardware assets in ServiceNow asset database
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and deploy mobile devices
  • Provide QA testing on major IT projects
  • Microsoft Teams Deployment
  • Desktop PC and VDI performance monitoring
  • Helpdesk User Experience Enhancements (FAQ creation, Self Service Portal)

Position Summary

Assured Guaranty is seeking to hire an IT Helpdesk Summer Intern to assist in day-to-day operations, including helpdesk support, IT asset management, and PC/Laptop/Mobile Device deployments.  At the end of the internship, the candidate will gain valuable knowledge in day-to-day IT operations processes, incident resolution, Windows 10 enterprise support, Microsoft enterprise solutions, and VMWare virtualization solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

The intern will assist with the following tasks:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware and software issues
  • Document all incidents into ServiceNow (Ticketing System)
  • Configure and deploy Windows desktops, including assembly and disassembly
  • Plan, organize, and reconcile IT hardware assets in ServiceNow asset database

Candidate Background and Qualifications

The salary for the position is expected to be from $28 per hour to $32 per hour. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position provides a weekly all-firm catered breakfast (Tuesday) and lunch (Wednesday) as well as intern-specific meals and events.

Note: A housing stipend may be available for interns who live outside of the New York metropolitan area and move to the New York metropolitan area for the internship, subject to certain conditions.
