Summary

Join Flywheel as an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of IT operations, ensuring the security, compliance, and efficiency of our internal technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing software procurement, IT security, workstation updates, employee onboarding/offboarding, and IT support services. This role requires a strong understanding of IT security best practices and experience with various technologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT management and operations within a midsize enterprise SaaS technology organization
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HITRUST)
  • Expert level experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux environments
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of cloud-based IT administration (Microsoft 365, Azure, Slack, Atlassian, Gitlab, etc.)
  • Experience managing software procurement, IT asset tracking, and vendor relationships
  • Ability to analyze technical issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and support technical and non-technical users

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of IT operations, ensuring the reliability and security of Flywheel’s internal technology systems
  • Manage workstation security, software updates, and patch management to maintain compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HITRUST)
  • Maintain and improve IT processes to enhance operational efficiency, employee productivity, and security posture
  • Manage software procurement, licensing, and renewals, ensuring cost-effective and compliant use of technology solutions
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of software and hardware assets, tracking their lifecycle and usage
  • Evaluate and implement new IT tools that improve security, collaboration, and productivity
  • Lead the IT onboarding process for new employees, ensuring seamless access to workstations, software, and security tools
  • Manage offboarding procedures, ensuring timely deactivation of accounts, retrieval of company assets, and security compliance
  • Develop and maintain IT onboarding documentation and training materials
  • Enforce device security policies, including encryption, endpoint protection, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Monitor IT systems for vulnerabilities and security threats, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate risks
  • Ensure compliance with SOC2, HITRUST, and other regulatory requirements related to IT security
  • Manage the IT help desk, providing timely and effective support for technical issues, hardware/software troubleshooting, and access management
  • Develop internal IT documentation, FAQs, and self-service resources to improve employee experience
  • Analyze support requests to identify trends and implement solutions that reduce recurring issues
  • Comply with company policies, including security, confidentiality, and data protection requirements, to maintain a secure work environment
