Summary

Join Monarch, a top-recommended personal finance app, as their new IT Manager and become the driving force behind their IT support experience. You will own the end-to-end internal IT support function, implement and scale internal support tools, and collaborate with other teams to manage various systems. This high-impact role requires a strong problem-solving approach and a commitment to building efficient IT operations for a fast-paced startup. You will build and maintain documentation and champion a helpful and responsive IT experience. The position offers a fully remote work environment and a competitive compensation package.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on IT support or IT operations experience in a fast-paced or high-growth startup environment
  • Proven experience administering Okta and Google Workspace (user lifecycle, SSO integrations, security policies, group management)
  • Strong working knowledge of device management tools like Kandji, Jamf, or Mosyle , and collaboration platforms like Slack and Zoom
  • Experience implementing and maintaining IT support tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk)
  • Ability to build lightweight automations and improve support efficiency (using scripts, Zapier, or SaaS-native features)
  • Excellent communication skills, high EQ, and a service-oriented mindset — you're energized by helping others
  • Process-driven, self-motivated, and excited to build structure where none exists

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end internal IT support function — including device setup, account provisioning, day-to-day troubleshooting, and employee enablement
  • Implement and scale internal support tools (e.g., Linear Ask, ServiceNow, or comparable platforms) to streamline IT requests, automate workflows, and track support metrics
  • Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering and Security to manage systems like MDM, SSO, HRIS, and SaaS applications — with a strong focus on access control, onboarding, and secure automation
  • Build and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation and internal help resources to support a self-service culture
  • Champion a helpful, responsive, and solutions-oriented IT experience for everyone at Monarch — with an emphasis on empathy, speed, and ownership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hybrid or remote-first teams across multiple geographies
  • Familiarity with IT automation or scripting tools (e.g., Jamf scripts, Zapier, or low-code solutions)
  • Exposure to compliance environments like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
  • Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools (e.g., AI copilots, chatbots, or smart ticket routing) to improve internal IT support and automate repetitive tasks
