Summary

The job description is for a full-time, remote IT Manager position at MyAdvice. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure, WordPress hosting environments, employee onboarding and offboarding, hardware provisioning and maintenance, team management, IT support, security, vendor management, and documentation. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, proficiency in managing WordPress hosting environments, strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, IT security, and domain and DNS management.

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing WordPress hosting environments
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, IT security, and domain and DNS management
• Experience with hardware provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Proven ability to lead and manage a small team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Own and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and telephony systems to ensure optimal performance and security
• WordPress Hosting Management: Oversee and manage WordPress hosting environments, ensuring uptime, security and efficient operation. Participate in website launching and archival when necessary
• Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring timely and efficient setup and removal of IT access and equipment
• Hardware Provisioning and Maintenance: Oversee the provisioning, deployment, and maintenance of hardware, including computers, servers, and other IT equipment
• Team Management: Lead and manage a small team of India-based IT professionals, providing guidance, support and performance evaluations
• IT Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees and clients, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Support is managed through a ticketing system, ZenDesk
• Security: Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data protection protocols
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of IT resources and services
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of IT processes, systems and configurations
