IT Security Intern

Position Summary

The goal of information security is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. The information security team is responsible for defining and implementing security policy and standards and continuously monitoring for new threats. The IT Security Intern is part of the information security team, reporting to the Identity and Access Manager, and is responsible for data validation and assisting with projects in relation to the access automation tool.

Position Description

The IT Security Intern is responsible for data validation, updating the physical security camera firmware and assisting with various projects in relation to Saviynt (access automation system). Responsibilities will include:

• Documenting and updating physical security camera firmware.
• Communicating with business owners.
  • Confirm/obtain access description for groups.
  • Access required for specific job titles within the department.
• Assisting with various Saviynt (access automation tool) projects.
  • Data Validation for users imported into the system.
  • Updating description of roles.
  • Onboarding new applications into Saviynt.
  • Creating files to onboard the Cloud Privileged Access Management (CPAM) module.
• Participating in other IT Security activities including creating procedure documentation, access recertification, cleanup of various application listings/entitlements and other projects/duties as assigned.

Candidate Background

The salary for the position is expected to be from $28 per hour to $32 per hour. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position provides a weekly all-firm catered breakfast (Tuesday) and lunch (Wednesday) as well as intern-specific meals and events.

Note: A housing stipend may be available for interns who live outside of the New York metropolitan area and move to the New York metropolitan area for the internship, subject to certain conditions.
