IT Support and Data Technician

Summary
Join our fast-paced team as an IT Support Technician! You will play a key role in managing and resolving IT support needs, focusing on data processing and system support within our Columbia Ultimate collections system. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will work extensively with clients and management to ensure accurate and timely processing and reporting of EDI results. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, along with experience in data processing and systems support. This role involves frequent communication with internal and external customers and may require occasional work outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
- High School diploma and 3 to 4 yearsโ experience in data processing and systems support
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Proficiency with remote connectivity
- Proficiency with supporting Windows and Microsoft Applications in a corporate environment
- Excellent customer service skills and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to closely review data and isolate data elements needed to support or enhance research
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new business computer systems
- Strict adherence to professional ethics and appropriate management of confidential information
- Security focused, with a working knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent time management practices
- Physical ability to safely lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
Responsibilities
- Learn and effectively use our collections system from Columbia Ultimate
- Provide superior quality, courteous, and prompt service to our clients, employees, and managers
- Meet SLA requirements for EDI file transfers and reporting
- Utilize reports and processes to ensure file loads are accurate and validated
- Reports regularly on data loads, payments posted, errors, reconciliation, and other issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Work with clientsโ and IT to coordinate testing and support of connectivity to our systems
- Service desk tickets, PC support, and assisting managers with requests
- Frequent communication with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work outside of normal business hours to complete special projects or respond to system issues
- Works closely with EDI Manager and other IT staff to cover QA of processes
- Other duties as assigned and determined appropriate for the position
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college or technical training preferred
- Prior EDI experience preferred
- File formatting skills and abilities preferred
