IT System Test Engineer Intern

Summary

Join Progressive's IT team as a Summer 2025 intern and contribute to testing and improving software systems. You will work alongside experienced testers, develop testing tools, identify software defects, and execute testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in an Information Technology or Business-related field
• Effective teamwork, written and verbal communication skills, analytical and customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of data structures, data management practices, system interaction patterns and interfaces
• Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

Responsibilities

• Test and solve testability problems with assistance from more experienced testers
• Construct technology to assist developers and testers with testing activities
• Identify risks and potential defects within software components or systems
• Execute test engineering activities across the software’s development life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Full stack development experience with C#, .NET, Javascript, HTML, Angular, SQL Server, APIs, and Agile
• Experience with Cloud technologies, AWS, Splunk/App Dynamics
