IT Technical Writer Systems Analyst

Summary

The client is seeking an IT Technical Writer / Systems Analyst to join their Design and Planning Team for IT network infrastructure projects. The role involves documenting procedures, developing requirements, conducting trainings, and analyzing problems. The candidate should have a strong background in technology project management and experience in creating documentation. Preferred qualifications include CBAP and CSPO certifications and experience with automated testing tools.

• Ability to plan in a rapidly changing environment and to provide guidance for changes as required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and briefly, succinctly communicate complex issues to multiple audiences
• Exceptional knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices

Responsibilities

• Create and update job aids, templates, forms, flow diagrams and presentation decks on the subject of technology project management and the methodologies employed at client and client
• Consult with other members of the PMO and subject matter experts within the organization to develop content for documentation and training programs
• Work with the Project team members and business stakeholders to understand business processes and pain points
• Develop expertise in the customers’ business applications
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify system gaps and deficiencies that require a business, technical or blended approach for resolution
• Identify and group related user stories into Themes, document the dependencies and associated business processes
• Assist Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog
• Create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups
• Perform Quality Analyst functions such as defining test objectives, test plans and test cases, and executing test cases (including regression testing)

Preferred Qualifications

• CBAP and/or CSPO Certification
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Test Complete
