Junior Accountant

Summary

PSI, a leading Contract Research Organization with over 25 years of experience, is expanding its team by hiring a Junior Accountant to support their company. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for issuing customer invoices, generating payment reminders, reconciling cash advances, maintaining customer master data, assisting in processing weekly payments, handling various queries, and being involved in process improvements within the Accounts Receivable team.

Requirements

• College/University Degree or Professional Training in the field of Accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in accounting (preferably accounts receivable)
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and tax legislation
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Responsibility, attention to detail, communication skills
• Ability to multitask and practice accountability for assigned tasks

Responsibilities

• Issuing of customer invoices
• Generating of payment reminders/statements to customers and follow up on pending payments
• Reconciliation of cash advances received from clients
• Booking of bank statements and performing bank account reconciliations
• Maintenance of customer master data
• Assistance in processing weekly payments
• Handling of various queries
• Involvement in process improvements within the Accounts Receivable team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an international company is a plus
• Knowledge of and experience with SAP is a plus
