Summary
Join the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) as a Programme Junior Analyst for Latin America and the Caribbean! Based remotely in Colombia, you will support key activities in the region, focusing on Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica, particularly within the Green Climate Fund project. Your responsibilities include delivering high-quality presentations and reports, conducting research on sustainability and climate finance, managing data, and supporting technical assistance to partners. You will also maintain professional networks, research market barriers and opportunities, and prepare materials for presentations. This role requires fluency in English and Spanish, a bachelor's degree, and at least two years of relevant experience. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or another relevant subject
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva and other relevant software
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Spanish
- Outstanding organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Motivated and a self-starter; able to work independently
- High aptitude and attention to detail
- Open to managersβ feedback and effective instruction taking
- Excellent public relations skills and open disposition to network (internally and externally)
- Experience in relevant field
- Passionate about green finance and global knowledge
- Interest is rapidly growing and evolving organizations
- Experience in conducting research and analysing information
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- This role requires complete oral and written fluency in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality presentations, reports and research, working closely with the LAC and wider CBI Team
- Support research projects especially with a focus on LAC sustainability and climate action and finance
- Ability to effectively manage and analyse large amounts of data
- Support to the LAC team in providing technical assistance and engagement with partners and stakeholders for the implementation of Sustainable Finance Taxonomies
- Support on the maintenance of a network of professional relations in Latin America
- Research on barriers and opportunities in the local market for leveraging green financial products
- Support preparation of material for presentations and executive reviews
- Schedule and execute requested follow-up call with partners and stakeholders
- Support the delivery of key activities and deliverables under the LAC programme
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the financial market and/or sustainability, climate change is a plus
- Experience in Sustainable Finance Taxonomy development and implementation
- Experience in the banking or insurance sector
- Oral and written fluency in Portuguese
