Junior Backend Developer, Remote - Poland

Summary

The job is for a Backend Developer working with US clients using React, React Native, Node.js, TypeScript and Python. The role involves diverse challenges in early-stage startups across various industries, offers flexibility within the Polish time zone, and has a salary range of PLN 6000 - 10000 (B2B) to PLN 5000 - 7500 brutto (UZL). Required skills include at least 1 year of commercial experience with Python, basic experience with Django, English B2, Polish C1 and understanding of SOLID & DRY.

Requirements

• 1+ year of commercial experience in Python development
• Basic knowledge of Python and experience with Django
• Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)

Responsibilities

• Writing personal-best possible Python code
• Technical involvement in the product - finding ways to improve it
• Writing documentation for delivered code
• Peer code review
• Reuse and improve the company knowledge base
• Communicate with the team to efficiently translate business complexity (user stories/tasks) into solutions (end results/estimations)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of CI/CD processes
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Contributions to personal projects or open-source work
