Junior Backend Engineer

Summary

Holycode is seeking a Junior Backend (PHP) Engineer to work full-time on the Swiss table reservation system Foratable in their Belgrade office. The role offers an opportunity to significantly impact platform and product development while working in a familial, multinational team.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Software Engineering
• Good knowledge about data structures, algorithms, and data types
• Strong analytical skills and focus on getting things done
• Proficient in both written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Build new features with the product team
• Maintain and improve existing functionality
• Write unit tests and functional tests for added functionality
• Support the design and implementation of architectural principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful internships are a plus
• Experience with service oriented architectures and event sourcing is a plus
• Experience in PHP and Symfony is a plus
• Experience in a functional programming language (e.g. Haskell, Scala) or Rust is a plus
