Junior Data Developer

Summary

Join Perion's Data team as a Data Developer and contribute to the development of features based on geospatial movement patterns for intelligent ad campaigns. Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, you will create big data application code and workflows at scale, collaborate with a diverse engineering team, and engage in code reviews and open-source code reading. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong computer science fundamentals, and experience with Python, Java/Scala, SQL, and batched data processing. Experience with Kubernetes and Spark is beneficial. • Good Computer Science fundamentals with regards to data structures, algorithms, time complexity, etc
• Good work experience with Python, Java / Scala, SQL
• Experience with batched data processing
• Good database skills and experience working with large data sets
• Ability to work independently and make use of your time effectively

Responsibilities

• Creating big data application code and workflows at scale
• Working closely with a team of mixed engineering roles (frontend, backend, data, QA)
• Code reviewing
• Open source code reading

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Kubernetes is an asset
• Experience in Spark is an asset
