Junior Estimator

Summary

The job is for an Estimator in a family-run SME based in Derby. The role involves carrying out estimates for air conditioning, ventilation, and extraction systems, attending site visits, and completing daily quote follow up calls and CRM updates. Some estimating experience and construction experience are preferred but not prerequisite.

Requirements

• Strong accountability skills
• Listening and questioning skills
• Time management and planning skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (incl. Advanced Excel)
• Analytical and logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box

Responsibilities

• Carry out estimates for air conditioning, ventilation, and extraction systems
• Attend site visits with the sales manager to gain an understanding of how our client surveys a project at the estimating stage
• Complete daily quote follow up calls and CRM updates to keep the company's pipeline accurate

Preferred Qualifications

• Some estimating experience is preferable but not prerequisite
• Some construction experience is preferable but not prerequisite
