Junior Litigation Associate

Summary

The job is for a Junior Litigation Associate with 1-2 years' experience in General Liability Litigation at Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP. The position is based in Valhalla, New York or Parsippany, NJ and offers hybrid office/remote work.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in New York
• At least 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions
• Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
• Represent clients in court
• Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all other aspects of general liability litigation
• Interact with medical experts
• Conduct legal and medical research and analysis
• Draft motions
• Work cooperatively with others
• Interact with clients

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with NY Labor Law a plus
