Summary

A Junior Python Developer is sought by a leading trading platform to join their Financial Automation Team, responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining automation solutions that enhance data processes and systems. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, basic SQL knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Python programming language and its libraries
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to automate data processes
• Collaborate with senior developers and data analysts to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality
• Assist in the integration of third-party tools and APIs
• Document development processes, code changes, and other relevant information

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems or financial data is a plus
• Knowledge of web frameworks like Django or Flask
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Basic knowledge of Apache Airflow or experience with it
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript) is advantageous
