Junior Research Analyst

Summary

Rystad Energy is seeking an analyst with strong analytical skills to work in Rio de Janeiro as part of the E&P team, contributing to the greater Latin American research teams by analyzing upstream data and providing leading intelligence on activity. The candidate should have 0-5 years of relevant work experience, a university degree in a data-driven field, solid analytical skills, good communication abilities, fluency in English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese, self-motivation, proactiveness, independence, and teamwork skills.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of relevant work experience
• University degree in a data-driven field such as mathematics, engineering, economics or finance/ business
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze upstream data
• Model and value oil and gas assets
• Identify and determine the impact of external factors on activity
• Write insightful commentaries and participate in webinars on industry trends
• Contribute to the E&P team’s work to build the core UCube offering
• Support our external clients, consultants and business development team
