Junior Software Engineer

Summary

Join our team of database developers and contribute to building, maintaining, and enhancing our database solutions. As part of this role, you will design and maintain SQL Server databases, write complex queries, analyze performance, and ensure data security.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL Server
• Knowledge in SQL Server (SSIS, T-SQL, SSRS, SSAS)
• Experience writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with database design and indexing strategies
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners
• English skills both written and spoken
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure SQL or AWS RDS
• Knowledge of modern relational databases i.e. Oracle / SQL Server/ Postgres/ MySQL
• Understanding of version control tools including GIT/Bitbucket
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain SQL Server databases and related applications
• Write and improve complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
• Collaborate with software developers and business analysts
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues
• Ensure data security and integrity by implementing best practices for backups, disaster recovery, and auditing
• Create documentation related to database designs, processes, and workflows
