Summary

Join our team as a Junior Staff Accountant and play a key role in supporting global revenue recognition and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting processes (ASC 606). You will review transactions, prepare supporting schedules, and collaborate with key teams. Responsibilities include reviewing Salesforce Opportunities, approving estimates in NetSuite, and preparing deferral and amortization schedules related to COGS. You will also assist with month-end close, billing corrections, reconciliations, and posting journal entries. This role requires a solid understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, and hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Excel. You will report to the Revenue Accountant and support global accounting operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP
  • Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce (SFDC), and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Solid understanding of billing, AR, and revenue processes
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for process accuracy
  • Ability to navigate and learn accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas)
  • Strong grasp of AR, billing, COGS, and revenue-related processes
  • Organized and comfortable with deadline-driven tasks

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve Salesforce Opportunities and related NetSuite Estimates
  • Respond to revenue recognition inquiries regarding SFDC and NetSuite
  • Conduct Power BI billing correction reviews, propose and process corrections
  • Generate intercompany invoices and bills for U.S. and WFOE subsidiaries
  • Prepare amortization and deferral schedules for COGS
  • Record journal entries for Unbilled Hardware COGS Deferral
  • Reconcile Avalara transactions with NetSuite
  • Post monthly COGS amortization journal entries
  • Prepare and reconcile the Deferred Revenue Rollforward working paper
  • Reconcile Proprietary Hardware COGS Deferral accounts
