Junior Trader

Join a rapidly growing energy trading division as a Fuel Trader, working alongside senior traders, learning proprietary methodologies, and building trading models.

Requirements

• Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Strong communication skills; detail oriented, organized, and diligent
• Strong interest in trading and energy markets
• Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics
• Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
• Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
• Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, statistical modeling, or other programming a plus
• Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with senior Fuel Traders (Market Making/OTC)
• Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
• Real-time risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffs
• Build and maintain trading models
• Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
• Liaise between trading group, internal company departments, and OTC relationships
