Summary

The job is for a Junior Web Developer at the European Parliament in Brussels. The employee will contribute to the implementation of websites and supporting applications, using various programming languages and frameworks like SpringBoot, Java, ReactJS, Node.js, Next.js, and AWS services. They will also work independently and in a team, have excellent analytical skills, and be familiar with agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• Excellent knowledge in web development with various frameworks and platforms like SpringBoot
• Experience with Java programming
• Experience with Javascript platforms like ReactJS, Node.js, Next.js
• Experience with development of digital experience platforms, CMSs, website builders
• Experience with development and implementations of projects in the cloud with AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, ELB, CloudFront)
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of the European Parliament's websites and supporting applications
• Propose trending software solutions and applications
• Model, test, and integrate solutions into the online environment
• Monitor for corrective and evolutionary maintenance
• Manage and coordinate workshops and project documentation
• Transfer knowledge to the development team
• Maintain constant dialog and support to the editorial and conception teams
• Ensure websites and software meet non-functional requirements (quality, security, performance, scalability, maintainability etc.)
