Lead Actuary, Reserving

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science or a related field
• 8+ years of experience as an actuary in a similar role
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and reliability

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive quarterly reserve analyses and profit share analyses using standard actuarial methodologies
• Develop and maintain models to project ultimate losses and assess reserve adequacy
• Collaborate with team members to enhance data quality and usability for reserving purposes
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for senior management, regulators and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)
• Cyber insurance experience
