Lead Backend Engineer

Summary

Join our well-funded seed-stage company as a Lead Backend Engineer to lead backend service design, mentor engineers, and contribute to the strategic development of our SaaS platform for MedSpas. Remote work with EST hours required.

Requirements

• Proven Backend Expertise: 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable Django backends, with a solid understanding of relational databases and GraphQL APIs
• System Ownership: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end system ownership, including deployments, incident response, and system reliability and performance monitoring
• Analytical Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to understanding business contexts, requirements, and system architectures before coding
• Communicative Leader: Exceptional English fluency and the ability to lead teams effectively, ensuring clear communication, eliminating ambiguities, and fostering a collaborative work environment

Responsibilities

• Backend Services Development: Design, plan, and implement robust backend services that enhance the functionality and scalability of the SaaS platform
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor backend engineers, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and excellence
• Architecture Strategy: Contribute to the strategic development of the platform’s backend architecture, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business and its customers
• Feature Contribution: Work closely with the product and engineering teams to develop and deploy key features that enhance user experience and operational efficiency
