Lead Clinical Data Analyst

Summary

Modern Health is a mental health benefits platform looking for a Lead Clinical Data Analyst to join their Analytics team. The role involves evaluating member utilization and outcomes, analyzing data, conducting statistical analyses, creating a compelling story around member outcomes, collaborating with the Clinical Research Team, using external claims data, defining and measuring KPIs, building data sources and dashboards, and guaranteeing the reliability of work. The position requires 4+ years of experience in healthcare or health tech analytics, 3+ years conducting statistical analyses in a clinical or biomedical research setting, expertise in SQL, data analysis, and data visualization, a master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field, proficiency in statistical analytics, experience with Looker or an equivalent BI tool, experience with claims data, experience in applying data and analytics concepts to business problems cross-functionally, proven success partnering with and explaining data and analytics concepts to non-technical team members at any level of seniority, ability to think strategically and drive execution, high EQ, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, passion about the mental health space, humility, scrappiness, high motivation, and thriving in fast-paced environments. The position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in healthcare or health tech analytics
• 3+ years conducting statistical analyses in a clinical or biomedical research setting, preferably within mental health or behavioral sciences
• Expertise in SQL, data analysis, and data visualization
• Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field
• Proficiency in statistical analytics, including familiarity with Python, R, or equivalent tools
• Experience with Looker or an equivalent BI tool
• Experience with claims data and applying analytical and statistical concepts to real-world data to measure clinical and economic outcomes
• Experience in applying data and analytics concepts to business problems cross-functionally
• Proven success partnering with and explaining data and analytics concepts to non-technical team members at any level of seniority
• Ability to both think strategically and drive execution
• High EQ, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including comfort and experience interfacing with internal leadership

Responsibilities

• Evaluate member utilization and outcomes to maintain clinical rigor and drive product improvements and revenue growth
• Analyze our member data to understand which products and services lead to improved clinical results and share key insights and ideas on how to continuously improve member outcomes with relevant stakeholders across varying levels of leadership
• Conduct statistical analyses to support clinical and scientific research
• Create a compelling story around member outcomes and our value proposition

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital health
