Join Recare, a technology partner for optimal discharge management, as their Lead Clinical Data Integration & AI Enablement. You will develop a scalable data architecture for extracting and structuring clinical data, working with HL7, FHIR, and unstructured data from various sources. This role involves technical implementation, collaboration with internal AI teams and external partners, and ensuring data quality and compliance. Requirements
- Have in-depth knowledge of hospital IT, KIS systems, and clinical data formats (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
- Be familiar with clinical documents such as doctor's letters and medication plans
- Have experience with data integration, APIs, ETL processes, and building data platforms for AI
- Be familiar with relevant technologies
- Have experience with Machine Learning Data Pipelines and ensuring data quality
- Be familiar with the GDPR and other data protection requirements
- Have initial experience with the use of AI technology in the health data context
- Possess very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
Responsibilities
- Develop processes for extracting and structuring clinical data for AI applications
- Identify and overcome limitations of existing interfaces (HL7v2, FHIR, DICOM)
- Design a scalable data pipeline that processes both structured and unstructured data
- Build new API concepts or middleware solutions for extended connection of clinical systems
- Evaluate and integrate technologies for processing unstructured clinical data (e.g., NLP for free text documentation)
- Work closely with hospital IT teams to make individual adjustments to existing systems
- Build partnerships with specialized solution providers
- Ensure the completeness, correctness, and usability of extracted data for AI models
- Develop methods for cleaning, anonymizing, and pseudonymizing sensitive patient data
- Collaborate with AI teams to optimize data quality for machine learning
- Ensure that all processes are GDPR, HIPAA, and MDR compliant
- Develop secure data access mechanisms to minimize legal risks
- Support certifications and audits in the area of data processing
- Collaborate with hospital partners to enable extended data access
- Communicate with external system providers to evaluate new integration possibilities
- Document and transfer knowledge to internal teams to ensure sustainable use of the developed solutions
