Summary

Join Vytalize Health, a leading value-based care platform, as a Lead Data Operations Analyst and contribute to the aggregation, management, verification, and quality of data files. You will be responsible for tracking all data files received and sent by Vytalize, ensuring their secure storage and transmission, and maintaining documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL or other programming languages, and experience with healthcare data sources.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA
  • Five years experience identifying, collecting, validating and analyzing data. (Master’s degree can be used to substitute up to two years of experience)
  • Experience with pulling, managing, organizing and analyzing data
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python or another data and statistical programming language
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other laws and regulations that protect sensitive health and financial information, and experience with ensuring the security and privacy of data
  • Experience with multiple health care data sources including but not limited to health insurance claims; electronic health records (EHRs), health information exchanges (HIEs); lab results; admissions, discharges and transfers (ADT), and social determinants of health (SDoH)
  • Ability to measure, monitor, and report on data quality
  • Ability to identify, reconcile and provide actionable recommendations for inaccurate, contradictory and/or incomplete data
  • Competency in process optimization and automation, including end-to-end process mapping, control point identification and improvement, and end-to-end control assessment
  • Experience with documenting projects and/or writing policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Manage all processes for and quality of all inbound and outbound data file transfers and data file builds
  • Create and maintain documentation for all data files created and transferred
  • Ensure that all automated data file production and transfer jobs are executing as planned, and provide a feedback loop and remediation plan if issues are identified
  • Work with IT Security to ensure that all data files received and sent by Vytalize are transmitted and stored securely consistent with Vytalize IT security policies and procedures
  • Verify and ensure that all data files received and transmitted meet all requirements for file structures, formatting, completeness and accuracy
  • Develop, test and implement, independently or in collaboration with Engineering, automated processes to build, ingest, validate and share data files
  • Create and share data files ad hoc as business needs arise
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality audits of data files received and transmitted
  • Provide monthly reporting of all data files received and transmitted, and data file quality issues identified and resolved
  • Troubleshoot data file storage, formatting, and content issues
  • Provide peer review, consistent with Vytalize’s Peer Review Policy, of all data files created and transmitted
  • Inform business customers about Data Operations policies and procedures for managing and storing data files received and sent by Vytalize
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to track and monitor the receipt, processing and transmission of all data files needed by Vytalize and its customers
  • Create, maintain and communicate schedules for all data file transfers
  • Serve as point of contact to internal and external business customers to determine data file and transmission needs, obtain structure and formatting requirements, and maintain ongoing communication about transmission schedules
